Women's Lacrosse Tripped Up at #23 Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Dickinson women's lacrosse team got a combined five goals from Liv Yeagle and Riley Kuehn but was never able to slow down the potent offensive attack from the host Haverford College as the 23rd-ranked Fords picked up a 22-9 win at Swann Field on Saturday.

Haverford played "make it take it" lacrosse over the opening four minutes as they scored on their first four shots of the game without DC ever possessing the ball. Alex Goles recorded the first shot for the Red and White at the 4:14 mark, but it sailed wide of Sarah Cahn. Two minutes later Callie Crawford solved Ella Marks for a 5-0 edge. On their next trip down the field, DC got on the board with Riley Kuehn cashing on a free-position chance. After the Fords responded with two more Yeagle netted her first of the day to make it 8-2 through one.

The home side kept up the attack to begin the second as they found the back of the net on three of their first four shots to extend the margin to 11-2. With just under five minutes off the clock, Yeagle finished off a nice pass from Gabby Guadalupe to stop the Fords run. However, Haverford responded with three more, before Liz Barroll capped off the first-half scoring with 1:24 remaining to make it 15-4 at half.

The two teams traded goals to kickoff the third with Callie Crawford and Emma Wynne scoring for their respective clubs. Haverford recorded the next seven shots in a row with four of them finding their way to the back of the net making it 20-5, prior to Delaney Herbert scoring for the Red and White with 39-seconds left.

Nancy Tucker and Ellie Hughes kept the train rolling for the Fords stretching the margin to 22-6 with three minutes off the clock. After Kuehn was stopped by new goalie Annie Bravacos with ten minutes left she got revenge two minutes later besting the keeper. Faith Parker and Yeagle would each add one more for the Devils to set the 22-9 final.
