NEWVILLE, Pa. – Dickinson women's cross country senior Isabel Cardi continued her phenomenal 2021 season by claiming her seventh individual title as she won the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Dickinson at Big Spring High School on Saturday afternoon.
Cardi outlasted the 217 runner field with a time of 22:13.0 on the six-kilometer course to win the race by a comfortable margin of 43-seconds over Alex Ross from Johns Hopkins.
The next Red Devil to cross the line was Allyson Yanega in 13th with a mark of 23:49.0, while Maddie Garber also landed inside the Top-20 at 17th (24:05.2). Myra Naqvi came in 26th with a time of 24:31.0, followed five spots later by Samantha Barnes at 24:41.4. Lilianna Matala time of 24:48.9 was good for 35th. Elizabeth Cassell was the last Devil to complete the event in 25:12.9 which earned her 49th-place.
Dickinson posted a team score of 88 which was good for second out of 31 teams. Johns Hopkins won the team title with a mark of 20, followed by Carnegie Mellon, Susquehanna, and Misericordia in the Top-5.
