Red Devils Regroup to Turn Back Washington 3-1

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson volleyball team overcame a slow start to overtake Washington College, 3-1, here at the Kline Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Shorewomen came out and claimed the opening set, 25-20, before the Red Devils regrouped to sweep the next three games (25-14, 25-20, 25-16).

Sophomore Emma Lange (Jupiter, Fla./Benjamin) led the way with a match-high 13 kills, adding four digs and three blocks. Classmate Morgan Biggs (Stephenson, Va./James Wood) reached double-figures with 11 kills to go with three digs and one block.

Junior setter Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) dished out 34 assists, adding three aces and 11 digs.

Christina Chu (Hartsdale, N.Y./Ardsley) served up four aces and tallied eight digs while junior libero Tatiana Lopez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas) had a match-high 15 digs, handing out three assists and one ace.

Hanna Riley (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) recorded eight kills, four digs and three blocks while Kylie Albertsen (Woodstock, Md./Marriots Ridge) finished with seven kills and four blocks.

Jamie Singer (Livingston, N.J./Golda Och) came on to tally 11 digs and three kills while senior Jacqueline Banker (Rockaway Park, N.Y./Archbishop Malloy) chipped in with eight digs on the day.

The Red Devils improve to 11-7 overall and move to 3-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return to action on Monday night, traveling to Bryn Mawr College for a 7:00 pm start.
