Red Devils in Fourth After Day Two of Centennial Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's track and field team recorded numerous Top-10 results during day two of the Centennial Conference championships hosted by Ursinus College.


Sophia Kovatsis wrapped up the two-day heptathlon in fourth with 3075 points as Kayla Robinson from Haverford won the event with 3599. Her best event of the day came in the javelin throw as her mark of 19.87m was good for second.


The Red Devils earned a fifth-place result during the 4x800m with the team of Charlotte Kratovil-Lavelle, Lilianna Matala, Myra Naqvi, and Amiyah Priebe clocking in at 9:59.34.  


Sarayne Forbes took up the third and final podium spot in the discus as she posted a toss of 33.51m. 

In the jumping pit, Sara Penuela claimed third in the long jump after a leap of 5.05m, while Elizabeth Lieb placed fifth at 5.00m and M. Penuela was right behind her at 4.88m. 

Team Scores

The Devils concluded day two in fourth-place with 42 points which has them just two off of third-place Swarthmore (44) and ten back of second-place Ursinus (52). The leaders continue to be the Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins University with 103.
