ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson women's track and field team earned numerous Top-3 finishes and won one event at the Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown College on Saturday.
Catarina Acosta competed in the 100m taking sixth with a time of 13.68. Alexandra Colby earned a podium spot in the 100m hurdles by claiming third at 16.48. Two spots later finished Sophia Kovatsis who stopped the clock at 16.76.
In the 400m Abbe Kitchin gave a good showing finishing in fourth by hitting the line in 1:02.60. Morgan Mooradian took 20th (1:06.45). Lily Swain earned a Top-10 result during the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:13.57 good for sixth.
Lilianna Matala was the lone Devil in the 800m claiming 14th with a time of 2:30.41.
Dickinson put two runners inside the Top-3 of the 1500m with Charlotte Kratovil-Lavelle crossing the stripe in second at 5:03.00, while Laura Berman came in third a second later (5:04.24.). Isabella Clarke hit the line in sixth with a mark of 5:07.39.
In the 4x400m the team of Berman, Clarke, Kratovil-Lavelle, and Matala finished in sixth after stopping the clock at 4:35.40.
Elizabeth Lieb took part in the long jump finishing in second after a leap of 4.93m. Kovatsis landed at 4.10m which was good for 12th.
Sarayne Forbes picked up the victory in the discus with a toss of 40.61m, while Raso came in eighth at 30.58m.
The Red and White head to Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and Ursinus College on Friday for the start of the three-day Centennial Conference Championships beginning at 1 p.m.
