Devils Compete at the Historic Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Dickinson track and field teams had limited individuals participate at the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

On Thursday night, Charles Scharf competed in the 10,000m run. He was in a 14-competitor field that was made up of runners from both Divisions I and III. Scharf posted a time of 31:00.90 which was good for 13th. The winner of the race was Evan Brennan from Stony Brook University stopping the clock in 28:59.64. 

Then, on Friday evening the Red and White had a group of ladies take part in the MAC/Centennial 4x400m relay. The team of Maddie Brown, Darya Mikusova, Mariana Penuela, and Sara Penuela earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 4:06.05. Centennial Conference foe Johns Hopkins won the event at 3:56.26, followed by Stevens Tech (3:59.61) and Messiah (4:01.05) both out of the Middle Atlantic Conference.
