(GREENSBORO, N.C.) – Dickinson junior Elaina Clancy (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) ran to All-America honors in the 10,000 meters, placing fifth at the 2021 NCAA National Championships on Thursday night.
Clancy held a strong position at the front of the main pack after Ithaca's Parley Hannan stormed out of the gates, chased by Loras' Kassie Rosenbum.
Clancy clocked a time of 35:46.56 to finish just six seconds off a school record and second on the all-time list to claim a spot on the podium. She captured the Centennial Conference Championship in the 10,000 and claimed All-Region honors in the 10K and the 5000.
Junior Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) is scheduled to run in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Friday and senior Isabel Cardi (Media, Pa./Strath Haven) is set to compete in the 5000 meters on Saturday.
