(Lancaster, Pa) – The Dickinson women's indoor track & field team had another strong outing, competing at the Mini Dip Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Friday night.
The Red Devils captured the top five spots in the 3000-meters and placed seven runners in the top ten. Junior Sarah House (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) led the way, finishing first with a time of 10:09.96. Sophomores Isabel Cardi (Media, Pa./Strath Haven) and Emma Johnston (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham) came in second and third with marks of 10:13.44 and 10:17.13, respectively.
First-year Alexandra Colby (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) captured silver in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 10.10.
The Red Devils had four runners in the top 10 of the 200 meters. Naji Thompson (Springfield, N.J./Oak Knoll) led the way, finishing second with a time of 27.54, just one-one-hundred of a second behind the winning time. Liana Tabtiang (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) was eighth in the 200 and clocked a time of 1:01.74 to place fourth in the 400 meters.
First-year Lana Ljoka (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) was fifth in the triple jump while junior Mary Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) had a top ten showing in the weight throw, placing eighth with a toss of 11.12 meters.
The Red Devils travel to the Big Apple next weekend, competing in the New York Armory at the NYU Invitational on Friday.
