Women's Swimming in Sixth After Day Two of CC Championships

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson women's swimming team got a pair of Top-5 finishes on day two at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Franklin & Marshall College inside the Kunkel Aquatic Center.

The night began for the Devils with Emily Carkhuff taking 13th in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:18.89, while Caroline Christianson clocked in at 5:22.39 for 15th.

Olivia Abbott-Havers earned the first Top-5 result for the Devils on the night during the 50-yard freestyle by touching the wall in 24.43. 

The second fifth-place finish for the Red and White came in the final event of the session the 400-yard medley relay as the group of Margot Armstrong, Sarah Caron, Maddi Vlattas, and Abbott-Havers by stopping the clock at 4:01.17. 

Through four of eight sessions, the Devils hold down sixth-place with 124 points, trailing fifth-place Washington College by 21 (145). Swarthmore College is currently topping the field with 323.50 points and has a sizable gap on second-place Ursinus College (217).

The Devils return to action tomorrow morning beginning at 10 a.m. for the start of day three at the Centennial Conference championships at the Kunkel Aquatic Center.
