Women's Squash Falls in Season Opener to F&M

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's squash team battled hard all night but ultimately fell to the visiting Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats by a 6-3 score on Friday at the Dickinson Squash Center in the season opener for both teams.

Inside the Match

Dickinson had a chance to make the match go in their favor as three flights went five games. However, the Devils were only able to take one of them with Amna Fayyaz knocking off Audrey Berling at No. 1. Courtney Trail grabbed the first game (11-4) in her match with Aryaa Ogale, before dropping three of the final four at the second flight. Anna O'Connor won the first game (11-7) at No. 4, but Emily Knapp took the following two (12-10 and 12-10). O'Connor would rally back to win the fourth 11-6, before succumbing in the fifth. Lindsay Kuracina earned a 3-0 victory at No. 3 over the Diplomats Costin, while Eloise Nimoityn claimed a win after her opponent retired at the fifth flight.
