CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team was held without a shot on goal over the entire 90 minutes as the visiting Gettysburg College Bullets used a 38th-minute goal to earn a 1-0 Centennial Conference win at Dickinson Park on Wednesday night.
Gettysburg was on the attack right out of the gate as just two minutes in Erika Muskus forced a save out of Sophia Kavulich. In the fifth minute, Molly O'Shea missed high, before Dickinson would get their first look at goal as Meg Tate sent one wide of Maddie Cunningham. Emma Bedell and Macey Mento exchanged the next two shots with neither effort testing a keeper. Then at the 37:11 mark, the Bullets took the 1-0 lead as Maeve Regan tallied unassisted. The visitors tried to make it 2-0 five minutes before half, but Kavulich was up to the task.
It would take seven minutes until either side would get a look at goal in the second period, unfortunately, Mento sent her blast wide left. The next shot came with 70:16 gone when Julia Musah missed wide. The Red Devils would muster up one final chance with 12:08 remaining, but Ashleigh Violette fired off-target to the right allowing the visitors to hold on for the 1-0 win.
