(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The #13-ranked Dickinson women's soccer team already secured the top seed in next week's Centennial Conference playoffs but still had another obstacle to overcome, heading to Gettysburg College for the regular season finale on Saturday night.
The Red Devils posted their 10th shutout of the season and finished unbeaten in conference play at 8-0-2 while improving to 13-1-4 overall.
First-year Meg Tate (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) struck twice, raising her conference-best goal total to 15 on the year.
Tate found the net in the 11th minute, putting a free kick into the left side of the net. She added an insurance goal just over five minutes remaining, beating the defense with her second of the night.
Sophomore goaltender Carli Boyer (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) moved into a tie for first on the single season shutout list, recording her 10th of the season as well.
Boyer finished with five saves as the Bullets held a 13-9 advantage in shots while each team forced three corners on the night.
The Red Devils will host the Centennial Conference final four next weekend at Miller Memorial Field on Saturday and Sunday. The Red Devils will face the winner of the first-round match on Wednesday in the semifinals on Saturday. Match times will be announced on Monday.
