Glancey Nets Two as Red Devils Tame Bears 3-0

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The #19-ranked Dickinson women's soccer team improved to 3-0-1 in the Centennial Conference with a 3-0 win over visiting Ursinus College on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore defender Charlotte Glancey (Princeton, N.J./Montgomery) capitalized on a pair of corners, putting two goals on the board, scoring off a pair of assists from Addy Zandi (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson).

Glancy tallied the game-winner 15 minutes into the match and stretched the margin to 3-0 with her second of the game with 20 minutes remaining.

Zandi played a role in all three Red Devil goals, serving both corners to Glancy and scored the Devils' second of the game off an assist from Ally Diez (Rockville Center, N.Y./South Side) in the 67th minute.

The Red Devils held the advantage throughout the match, holding the Bears to just one shot while producing six in each half. Dickinson also forced nine corners while allowing just three on the defensive end.

Sabrina Doherty made four saves for the Bears. Sophomore Carli Boyer (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) did not need to make a save, recording her fifth shutout of the season.

The Red Devils improve to 7-1-1 overall on the season. They have a big test on Tuesday, traveling to #5-ranked Johns Hopkins University for a 7:30 pm kick-off.
