Red Devils Overwhelm Owls 17-3

(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's lacrosse team turned in a dominant performance, posting a 17-3 victory at Bryn Mawr College on Saturday.

The Red Devils opened up an 11-0 lead in the first half as 10 different players scored while senior Sam Marmo (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) found the net twice and handed out an assist to lead the attack.

Sophomore Erika Bloes (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) dished out a pair of assists as well.

The second half was more of the same as six more players found the net for the Red Devils as 16 players tallied in the win.

Bloes added a goal after the break while Mack Maurer (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) and Anne Dunster (Cos Cobb, Conn./Greenwich) finished with a goal and two assists on the day.

The Red Devils put all 25 of their shots on net as Jessica Calloway turned away eight for the Owls.

Chase Landis (New Canaan, Conn./Berkshire) controlled four draws while Alex Goles (Cockeysville, Md./Roland Park) tallied three ground balls, two draws and a caused turnover. Marmo forced a pair of turnovers as well for the Red Devils.

Three goaltenders saw action as Avery Priest (San Rafael, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) made four saves in the first half before AJ Johns (Hamden, Conn./Sacred Heart) and Drew Yager (Towson, Md./Notre Dame Prep) came on to split the second half.

The Red Devils improve to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel McDaniel College on Wednesday for a 4:30 pm start with the Green Terror.
