Montgomery's Big Night Helps Devils Get Revenge on Mules

CARLISLE, Pa. - Junior Kate Montgomery picked up her fifth double-double of the season netting 17 points and hauling in a season-high 15 rebounds as the Dickinson women's basketball team notched their third consecutive win with a 47-44 victory over the visiting Muhlenberg College on Thursday night.

Dickinson was on top 4-0 inside the opening minute of the game as both Caitlin Blackman and Mia Kolb finished off driving layups. The game went scoreless over the next three minutes until Blackman found a cutting Montgomery for the 6-0 edge. Margaux Eripret got the Mules on the board at the 4:11 mark and sparked a 6-0 charge to draw even. Buckets by Jennifer Kremp and Gina Neigel were answered by Ava Connolly and Sara Peretti to tie things at 9-9. Montgomery capped the scoring with a pull-up jay for the 11-9 edge after one.

The two teams shared the opening eight points of the third quarter as Clair Marion and Blackman scored for the Red Devils to keep things locked at 22-22. The seesaw game continued with Eripret and Marion trading buckets before Kremp drilled a triple and Weinstein finished at the rim to give the home side a 29-26 advantage.
