(Louisville, Ky.) – The Dickinson College softball team had a remarkable 10 student-athletes named 2018-19 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, announced this week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Over 8,000 softball players, a first in NFCA history, from across the Association's membership categories earned the honor, while 1,928 Division III players achieved this accomplishment. To be eligible for consideration, the student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA or better.
The Red Devils earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, going 1-2 in Kentucky to close out the season with an overall record of 25-17. Head Coach Matt Richwine was named the Conference Coach of the Year, leading the Red Devils to their second Centennial Conference title this spring.
The Red Devils also earned team honors with one of the top combined GPAs in the nation.
