CARLISLE, Pa. - As part of homecoming weekend, last Saturday the Dickinson cross country program held their traditional alumni race as both the men and the women's teams competed in 5k races against Red Devils alumni.
On the women's side, Isabel Cardi won the event with a time of 19:23.07. She was followed by Elaina Clancy (19:23:10) and Maddie Garber (19:29.39). The first alum to cross the line was Kelsey Horowitz (19:35.92). The next eight finishers were all current Devils: Allyson Yanega (20:00.54), Myra Naqvi (20:08.20), Lilianna Matala (20:09.99), Amiyah Priebe (20:19.96), Samantha Barnes (20:27.16), Charlotte Kratovil-Lavelle (20:39.76), Sarah Yanega (20:50.56) and Laura Berman (21:02.32). Alumni Kylie Shalala and Kimberly Russel were next, before Molly Heron (21:32.92), Olivia Oligny-Leggett (21:46.66), Elizabeth Cassell (21:51.25), Julia Hoffritz (22:07.62), and Isabella Clarke (25:04.49). Ruby Stricker rounded out the field.
The men's race was paced by Charles Scharf and Christopher Scharf who came in at 16:32.08 and 16:32.20 respectively. They were followed by a pair of alums Andy Gregor (16:43.55) and Brian Krusell (17:10.34). Then came in ten straight current Red Devils: Julian John (17:20.09), James Marks (17:20.26), Matthew Dietrick (17:20.27), William Tripp (17:34.58), Nolan Meinke (17:34.92), Romario Cruz (17:38.23), Charlie Miske (17:49.82), Colin Schweitzer (17:50.03), Coltin Albitz (17:58.09), and Michael Loalbo (18:06.86). William Dougherty, Ayinde Summey, Mason Hepner, and David Klein were the next alumni quartet. The next batch of current runners was Chris Lozano (18:49.86), Shane Coll (18:56.26), Teddy Mercer (19:10.13), and Ethan Katz (19:54.58). Sean Galiczynski, Matt Smith, Dennis Young, Lawrence Persick, and Christopher Smith completed the alumni runners.
The current Red Devil runners were wearing gold laces in support of pediatric cancer.
Dickinson hosts the Long-Short Invitational on Saturday at Big Spring High School beginning at 10:30 a.m.
