(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's cross country team captured third in the team standings at the 2019 Centennial Conference Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Gettysburg College.
Johns Hopkins University posted a perfect score, claiming the top five spots in the race to capture the team title. Haverford scored 66 to claim second with the Red Devils combining for 75 points on the day.
Senior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) led the way for Dickinson, crossing the line sixth overall with a time of 25:33.
Sophomore Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) added a top 10 showing, placing eighth overall with a time of 25:36. Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) clocked a time of 25:59 to place 16th.
First-year Ryan Heskin (Floral Park, N.Y./Northfield Mount Hermon) was just outside the top-20, placing 22nd with a mark of 26:16 while Jacob Doherty Munro (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) came across in 26:41.
The Red Devils, ranked 31st nationally and fourth in the region will advance to the NCAA Mideast Regionals on November 16 at Lehigh University.
