Men's Track & Field Place Four on All-Region Team

NEW ORLEANS - The Dickinson men's track and field team had four members named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region team as announced by the organization this week. Seniors Charles Scharf and Christopher Scharf earned the honor along with junior Cole Boback and sophomore Ethan Hart

The All-Region honorees come from the Top-5 individuals in each event from each region, while the members of a Top-3 ranked relay team are also selected.

Boback ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic Region for the 400m with a time of 49.01 posted at the Mason-Dixon Track & Field Invitational (4/23/22).

Hart's distance of 15.66m (51' 4.5") at the same event during the shot put left him second in the region.

The first of the two Scharf brothers, Charles sat second in the Mid-Atlantic with a time of 30:29.61 in the 10,000m at the Bison Outdoor Classic (4/14/22). His sibling Christopher garnered two honors as he stopped the clock at 9:11.23 at Swarthmore FQ Meet (5/16/22) which was good for second in the region, while his mark of 14:31.69 during the Centennial Conference Championships in the 5,000m left him in fourth.
