Strong Second Day has Devils in Third at CC Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's track and field team won one individual event, racked up three Top-3 finishes, and had multiple Top-10 finishes on day two of the Centennial Conference championships hosted by Ursinus College.   


Teddy Mercer was the top Devils in the 800m finishing eighth by stopping the clock at 1:56.96. 

The Red and White put four runners inside the Top-10 of the 3000m steeplechase as Christopher Scharf won the event with a time of 9:21.11, followed by Will Tripp (4th - 9:52.31), Nolan Meincke (8th - 10:04.27), and Coltin Albitz (9th - 10:07.31).  


Charlie Miske wrapped up the two-day decathlon in third by racking up 5149 points as Bastiaan Phair from Swarthmore claimed the title with 5265. His best event of the day came during the 1500m as his time of 4:30.73 won the event by over five seconds.


The Red and White finished fifth during the 4x800m with the team of Ethan Katz, Colin Schweitzer, Meincke, and Mercer posting a time of 8:11.52. 


Graeson Ruch posted a third-place result in the discus with a toss of 39.67m, while Ethan Hart claimed fifth (37.43m) and Matthew Harvey taking seventh (36.27m). 

Kieran Santos finished inside the Top-10 of the high jump as his mark of 1.76m was good for eighth. 

Team Scores

The Devils concluded day two in third-place with 49 points. The host Ursinus College Bears pace the pack with 96 points, while Johns Hopkins sits in second on 75.
