NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2021 NCAA Division III Scholar Athletes and All-Academic Athletes as well as All-Academic Teams.
The Dickinson College men's track and field program earned national recognition as a program posting a 3.42 team GPA. Individually, three Red Devils were named to the list of All-Academic Athletes honorees. Nick Balenzano, Teddy Mercer, and Christopher Scharf were all recognized by USTFCCCA for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Overall, there were more than 450 student-athletes, who were named All-Academic Athletes. To receive this prestigious honor the individual student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period. They also must have finished in the top 50 during indoor season as listed by TFRRS. The student-athletes could also have finished in the top 35 as a member of a relay team, as ranked by TFRRS.
