Red Devils Show Well at Midweek Invitational

(SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team turned in some strong performances at the Shippensburg Midweek Invitational on Wednesday afternoon.

Cole Boback (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) placed third in the 100 meters behind a pair of Shippensburg runners, moving him up to first in the Centennial Conference.

Julian John (Bang Talad, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) finished second in the 1500 meters. Liam Coulter (Allegheny, N.Y./Allegheny Limestone Central) ran to bronze in both the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles.

First-year Nick Balenzano (Darien, Conn./Darien) cleared 6.80 meters to place third in the long jump, landing him atop the Centennial Conference rankings and in the Top 50 of NCAA DIII.

Coltin Albitz (Pottsville, Pa./Blue Mountain) was fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase while Teddy Mercer (Cortland, N.Y./Homer) had a strong showing in the 800 meters, finishing second. This performance also moves his Centennial Conference ranking into first.

Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) had a throw of 13.18 meters to place fourth in the shot put. He also finished sixth in the hammer and seventh in the discus. These performances push Hartman and teammate Ethan Hart (New Market, Md./ Linganore) up the conference ranking as well.

The Red Devils are scheduled to compete at the Johns Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
