(CARLISLE, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's and women's track & field teams both claimed wins at the Dickinson Quad-Meet on Saturday at Biddle Field.
The men's team tallied 256 points to better second place Ursinus with 175.
In the first event back in over a year, Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) broke the school record in the 3000m, running 8:24.82 to win the event.
The men's team had a great day in the relays, winning the 4x100, 4x800 and placing second in the 4x400. Ben Brandeis (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) ran the lead leg of the 4x100 and 4x400 and placed second in the 400-meter hurdles.
Senior Odin Bules (Union Mills, Ind./South Central) won the 5000-meters while Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) finished second in the 3000-meters and James Marks (West Hartford, Conn./Hall School) crossed the line third.
First-year Nick Balenzano (Darien, Conn./Darien) joined the winning 4x100 relay, won the 100-meters and placed second in the long jump. Garrett Randall (Gwynn Oak, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) claimed bronze in the 100. First-year Jacob Choudhri (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) took home gold in his first collegiate Triple Jump competition.
Charlie Miske (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) finished third in the pole vault, fourth in the javelin and led off the fourth place 4x400m Relay.
The Red Devils travel to Shippensburg University on Wednesday for the SU Midweek Invitational.
