Dickinson senior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) won the unseeded 10,000-meters at the Bucknell Distance Carnival on Saturday, clocking a time of 30:48.29 to rank sixth all-time in program history.
Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) crushed his PR to move into third on the program's all-time list with a time of 14:24.79 in the 5000-meters. That time currently ranks fourth in Division III this season.
Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) (15:01.44) and Matt Loalbo (15:52.41) clocked personal-bests in the 5000 meters while Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) had a great performance in the 1500 with a 4:07.61.
First-year Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) had a season-best in the steeplechase with a 9:56.66
The rest of the Red Devil men finished 11th overall at the Messiah Invite.
Thomas Riordan (Campbell, S.C./Landrum) placed fourth in the 800-meter run. Kacper Rzempoluch (Princeton, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro North) ran to sixth in the 400 and Aaron Brick (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) was eighth in the 200, both with collegiate bests and moving Brick to 7th in program history.
Riordan, Rzempoluch and Brick then combined with Reuben Winston (Potomac, Md./ Charles E. Smith) to finish 5th in the 4x400m.
The Red Devils had a good showing in the 5000 with Jacob Doherty-Munro (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) crossing the line fourth while Oden Bules (Union Mills, Ind./South Central) took sixth and Ethan Burg (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) was 10th.
Brick, Riordan, Rzempoluch joined Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) combined for a fifth-place finish in the 4x400.
The Red Devils travel to the Shippensburg Duals on Wednesday.
