Devils Win Non-Conference Finale Against Cavaliers

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team cruised to a non-conference victory on Monday afternoon knocking off the visiting Cabrini University Cavaliers by a score of 9-0 at the Hays Tennis Courts.

Doubles (DEVILS 3-0)

The top doubles duo of Garrick Adams and Thomas Griffin had a little bit of trouble with Modest Donacien and Max Schneider, but not much as they posted an 8-1 victory. The other two doubles pairs of Romano De Caprio and Will Lewis along with DJ Finnell and Levi Veleanu allowed their opposition to win no games scoring 8-0 decisions. 

Singles (DEVILS 6-0)

De Caprio playing in the top slot for the Red and White against Schneider secured a 6-1, 6-2 win. Then at the number two slot, Finnell gave up just one game to Donacien en route to a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Florian Anderson saw his first action of the day at third singles where he coasted to a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Ryan Calderaro. Matt Presite finished off a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win over Jonathan Papp, and Nick Kohler dropped Trung Tran in a shutout 6-0, 6-0. The only Dickinson player to drop a set was Buckley Huffsteler at number five as he fell 6-3 in the first, before rallying back to knock off Tien Tran 6-2, 10-2 over the next two sets.
