Devils Drop Conference Clash to Garnet

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team gave it all they had on Saturday afternoon, but suffered a 9-0 Centennial Conference setback to the host Swarthmore College Garnet at the Faulkner Tennis Courts.

Doubles (Swarthmore 3-0)

All three doubles matches were tightly contested as the top two pairs of Garrick Adams and Thomas Griffin along with DJ Finnell and Levi Veleanu came out on the wrongend of 8-4 decisions. The third duo of Florian Anderson and Romano De Caprio battled tooth-and-nail but fell 8-5 to Jay Jones and Minh Nguyen.

Singles (Swarthmore 6-0)

At second singles Griffin was inches away from claiming the first set against John Nichols-Daly, unfortunately, he came up just short 7-6 before dropping the second 6-1. Adams in the top spot won three games in each set prior to falling 6-3, 6-3 to Kevin Jiang. De Caprio battled with Josiah Myers-Lipton but did not have enough losing in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Noah Criss was able to knock off Finnell at fifth singles 6-1, 6-1, while Anderson and Veleanu each took one game off their opponents before falling by the same scores of 6-0, 6-1.
