GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team put forth a strong effort all afternoon and evening and earned a fourth-place finish after the completion of the Gettysburg College Invitational at Bullets Pool on Saturday night.
The first event of the day was the 200-yard medley relay where the team of Daulton Kendall, Cameron McConagha, Daniel Vasquez, and Justin Wong took eighth with time of 1:39.23 edging out fellow Devil group of Nolan Chenot, Frederico Colloca Bianchi, Logan Cort, and Cooper Kocon who clocked in at 1:39.44.
Vasquez put up a mark of 4:15.23 to claim sixth in the 400-yard individual medley, while Alex Kanard clocked in at 4:27.26 good for a 12th-place finish. Chris Burmaster (4:39.85) and Sam Strieb (4:45.80) also put up times good for Top-20 results.
McConagha got into the individual action in the 100-yard butterfly with a ninth-place finish hitting the wall in 52.79. Chenot was the other member of the Red and Black in the event posting a time of 56.07 to place 20th.
The 200-yard freestyle saw the Devils take sixth-seventh-eighth and tenth thanks to Cort (1:45.66), Reid Schattgen (1:46.95), Damon St. Prix (1:47.02), and Kendall (1:47.60). Billy Wilkerson clocked in at 1:50.30 for 14th, while Aidan Keillor landed in 15th with a mark of 1:51.01.
Wong finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th of the 100-yard breaststroke hitting the pad in 1:01.25, while Kocon came in 14th at 1:01.99.
Colloca Bianchi put up a solid showing in the 100-yard backstroke landing in eighth with a mark of 55.15.
The Devils team of Cort, Schattgen, St. Prix, and Vasquez seized third in the last event of the session at 7:09.03.
Dickinson entered the evening session sitting in third on 333 points, trailing Gettysburg (594) and Swarthmore (705).
Keillor put up a Top-10 in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:40.77 good for eighth. Strieb clocked in at 18:53.52 for a 12th-place result.
Vasquez recorded a sixth-place finish with a mark of 1:56.28 in the 200-yard backstroke. Colloca Bianchi landed in tenth clocking in at 1:59.79.
The Devils had six swimmers inside the Top-20 of the 100-yard freestyle led by Cort in 11th at 48.20, followed by Kendall (48.58), Wong (48.90), St. Prix (49.02), and Prandtner (49.73).
McConagha posted a time of 2:15.25 to take seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke. Kocon mark of 2:19.90 was good for 12th.
Schattgen recorded a time of 1:59.95 for a ninth-place finish, while Burmaster clocked in at 2:12.81 for 17th in the 200-yard butterfly.
The last event of the program was the 400-yard freestyle relay where the team of Cort, Kendall, St. Prix, and Wong earned a fifth-place result with a time of 3:11.03.
Dickinson finished fourth as a team with a total of 460, trailing third-place Ursinus 18 points. Gettysburg came in second at 876, while the winning team Swarthmore amassed 1008.

Dickinson will now be off for the holiday break and will return to action on Saturday, January 15th when they visit Bloomsburg University at 1 p.m.
