Men's Swimming Earns First Win of the Season

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team picked up their first win of the season with a convincing 166-32 victory over the visiting McDaniel College at the Clarke Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.

Dickinson began the day fast with the team of Frederico Colloca-Bianchi, Cameron McConagha, Bjorn Prandtner, and Ben Shoul earned a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.30. Two seconds behind them were Nolan Chenot, Daulton Kendall, Cooper Kocon, and Daniel Vasquez

The 1000-yard freestyle also went to the Devils with Logan Cort taking first in 10:27.60, followed by teammates Aidan Keillor (10:42.84) and Billy Wilkerson (10:59.17).

Vasquez picked up his first win of the day posting a time of 1:48.87 in the 200-yard freestyle, beating out Alex Kanard by two seconds.

DC claimed spots one through seven in the 50-yard freestyle with Kendall (22.55) edging out Prandtner (22.67). Shoul hit the pad at 22.70 for third, followed by Aaron Stern, Chenot, Sunil Suprenant, and Patrick Dunn

Justin Wong saw his first action of the day in the 200-yard individual medley claiming victory in 2:05.85, which was five seconds better than Kocon at 2:10.74. 

McConagha earned the win in the 100-yard butterfly hitting the pad in 53.66, nudging out Schattgen (55.11).

Kendall's time of 49.44 was enough to hold off Kanard's mark of 49.69 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Vasquez nabbed his second victory of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:57.56. Cort (5:01.88) and Keillor (5:14.67) took home second and third.

McConagha won his second event of the afternoon with a mark of 1:02.20 in the 100-yard breaststroke. 

The final event of the day was the 200-yard freestyle relay which was won by Kanard, Prandtner, Shoul, and Wong with a time of 1:30.99. The next team of Chris Burmaster, Cort, Keillor, and Schattgen landed in second touching in 1:33.62. In third was the unit of Avery Coonin, Connor Frederickson, Petty, and Stern with a time of 1:39.10.
