WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Dickinson men's squash team had two players named to the All-Mid Atlantic Squash Conference as announced by the organization on Friday.
First-year Nicolas Serna was chosen for the First Team after going a very strong 13-5 as the Devils top man during the 2021-22 campaign. The native of Bogota, Columbia paced the ladder for the Red and White all season playing against the best man from every other school. He carried the solid regular season play into the postseason racking up three consecutive wins at the College Squash Association Team Championships bringing down opposition from Amherst, Brown, and Bates. Serna also won one match at the College Squash Association National Collegiate Individual Championships.
Sophomore Omar Ali was named to the Second Team thanks to an equally impressive 13-5 mark as the number two player for Dickinson. A native of Cairo, Egypt, Ali matched his teammate in postseason success bringing down the second-best member of the opposing side during the College Squash Association Team Championships. He went to the individual championships as well, but was forced to retire during his first match.
