PHILADELPHIA - Dickinson men's squash athletes Omar Ali, Mark Naguib, and Nicolas Serna took to the courts on Friday to compete in the College Squash Association National Collegiate Individual Championships at the Specter Center.
Ali's time at the tournament was unfortunately short-lived as he was forced to retire in the second game against Aman Sanger from MIT.
Serna as the sixth-seed in the Molloy Cup South bracket picked up a 3-0 win over the 11th-seeded Harry Charlton of Tufts by scores of 11-3, 12-10, and 11-6. He then moved on to face the third seed Siow Yee Xian from Yale where he suffered a 3-0 setback losing by margins of 11-9, 11-5, and 11-5.
The duo of Anna O'Connor and Naguib took part in the mixed doubles action against Katherine Dowling and Raghav Pemmireddy out of Brown but came up on the short end of a 3-0 decision by scores of 15-11, 15-5, and 15-6.
