CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's soccer team made their only shot of the day count as Chaz Smith tallied in the tenth minute, but it would not be enough as the No. 25 Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats earned a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Dickinson Park.
F&M took advantage of an early foul as A.J. Kopacz took a feed from Shay Adamson and beat keeper John Baney for the 1-0 lead just two minutes in. Dickinson responded eight minutes later when Smith sent a shot past Henry Cooke. The visitors coop the final four shots of the half, but only forced one save out of Baney to head to the break tied.
The Diplomats scored on their first two shots of the second half with Oscar Horwitz (50:12) and Steven Yakita (62:33) scoring unassisted markers. F&M would hold the Red Devils shotless throughout the half to earn the 3-1 win.
