INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Dickinson men's lacrosse team will begin their quest towards the ultimate goal of winning a national championship next weekend at home as the 18-0 Centennial Conference champions learned they will be a host site for the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Second and Third Rounds next Saturday and Sunday.
The Red and White will await the winner of a first-round game on Wednesday between the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology (12-7) and the SUNY Maritime Privateers (11-7) that will be contested in Hoboken, New Jersey. The other two teams making the trip to Carlisle are quite familiar to the Red Devils as the Bullets of Gettysburg College (12-7) and the Roanoke College Maroons (13-6) will be in the other matchup on Saturday.
Dickinson earned the hosting rights after completing a perfect regular-season and winning the Centennial Conference title on Saturday afternoon in a 10-9 overtime thriller against the Bullets. The Red and White began their season with a 13-6 road win over Stevens and also holds a 19-15 victory over the Maroons on a neutral site at USA Lacrosse in Sparks, Maryland.
