(Radnor, Pa.) – The #15-ranked Dickinson men's lacrosse team had a tough run at #3-ranked Cabrini University on Saturday, dropping a 15-5 decision.

The Red Devils had a strong first quarter, playing even with the Cavaliers until a late goal put the hosts in front 2-1.

Cabrini put an early goal on the board and Ben Levin (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) fed Tucker Booth (Timonium, Md./Boys' Latin) at the 11:27 mark to pull Dickinson even.

Penalties plagued the Red Devils in the second quarter as Cabrini tallied a pair of extra-man goals and stretched the lead to 9-1 at halftime.

The Cavaliers strung together five goals in the third quarter before Ryan Schaffer (West Caldwell, N.J./Caldwell) broke up the run with just over five minutes remaining.

Cabrini added one before the end of the period to lead 15-2, heading into the fourth.

The Red Devils tallied the first goals of the fourth quarter as Griffin Moore (Ridgefield, Conn./Trinity Pawling) struck twice in just a 30-second span with assists from Nick Goles (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) and Skyler Schluter (Summit, N.J./Summit).

Goles added a late man-up goal and Cabrini scored at the buzzer to make the final, 16-5.

Cole Pellicano (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) finished with 11 saves on the day. Teddy Macfarlane (Baltimore, Md./Gilman) forced three turnovers while Bobby Barroll (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School) and Sam Campbell (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) each controlled four ground balls with Campbell adding four face-off wins.

The Red Devils slip to 2-2 on the season. They are on the road again next Saturday, traveling to the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame in Sparks, Maryland to face Roanoke College at 12:00 pm.
