HERSHEY, Pa. - First-year Tyler Tornoe made an immediate impact in his first-ever collegiate tournament as he posted a three-under 68 to win the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational at Hershey Country Club East Course hosted by Elizabethtown University on Tuesday afternoon. Tornoe was part of a four-man lineup that recorded a score of 289 as the Red Devils claimed the team title as well.
Tornoe beat out Swarthmore College's Ben Lee by one stroke to hold onto the championship.
Brandon Wilson landed just outside the Top-5 finishing with a 73 good for a three-way tie for sixth with Ankur Malik from Swarthmore and Joe Furlong and Daniel Suter representing Gettysburg College.
William McCann also competed in the tournament shooting a 78 which placed him in a tie for 25th.
Gettysburg and Swarthmore both followed Dickinson in the team scoring with each posting 294. Then came Catholic University (302), Cabrini University (305), and Lebanon Valley College (313).
The Red Devils host their Fall Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club on Saturday with the first tee time set for 9 a.m.
