Lown's 67 One Shy of Carlisle Barracks Course Record

(CARLISLE, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team tied for second in a competitive eight-team field at the Red Devils' home invitational on Thursday.

Sophomore Peter Lown (Portsmouth, N.H./Portsmouth) turned in a remarkable round, shooting a five-under par 67 to finish one shy of the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club course record.

Lown drained four birdies on the front nine and added three on the back to claim medalist honors and lead the Red Devils to a combined 303.

Southern Virginia won the title with a 300 while Franklin & Marshall matched Dickinson with a 303.

Will Giguere (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) and Drew Stern (Yardley, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) tied for 17th with rounds of 78.

William McCann (Madison, N.J./Morristown-Beard) came in with an 80 while Schuyler Leff (Bethel, Maine, Gould Academy) carded an 82 on the day.
