(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's basketball team made a late run at visiting Gettysburg, but the Bullets used some solid free throw shooting to claim a 68-49 decision on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils trailed by just six with just under four minutes to play in the first half, 28-22, before the Bullets ended the period with a 9-2 run to lead by 13 at the break.

The Red Devils cut the lead to just three with a 9-2 run at the midpoint of the second half. Senior Bryce Allen (Albany, N.Y./The Hill School) returned to the line-up and sparked the run as Dickinson trailed 45-42 at the 7:39 mark.

Two minutes later Onye Okoro (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) added a free throw to bring the Red Devils within two.

Nick Antolini got hot for Gettysburg, hitting a three-pointer and five free throws to put the Bullets up, 55-45.

Dickinson would cut the lead to single digits one more time but free throws down the stretch would build the lead to the final of 68-49.

Allen led the way in his return, netting 11 points to go with six rebounds, one assist and a steal. Ryan Robinson (Vienna, Va./George Marshall) went 4-for-6, scoring nine points and recording three steals.

KJ Holton (Clinton, Md./DeMatha) tallied eight points while Jack Tierney (Darien, Conn./Darien) and Okoro each finished with six. Chris Bates (Ellicott City, Md./Boys' Latin) came on to add six rebounds and four points.

The Red Devils move to 1-13 overall and 1-6 in the Centennial Conference. They are home again on Saturday, hosting #1-ranked Swarthmore College at 4:00 pm.
