BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Dickinson field hockey senior Hannah Spiri has been named First Team All-Region by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as announced by the organization this week.
Spiri, a native of Morgantown, Pennsylvania, was a major catalyst in the team putting together the best season in program history advancing to the Centennial Conference title game for the first time ever. The two-time All-Conference defender led the Red Devils in points with 15 thanks to a team-high six goals while adding three helpers. Her only multi-goal game of the campaign came in an unconventional way as she netted two penalty strokes, including the game-winner in overtime against Gettysburg on October 20th. She also got it done on the defensive end as well adding a team-topping four defensive saves and provided solid veteran leadership to a very young Dickinson team.
