(Elizabethtown, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team suffered its second straight 1-0 setback, falling at Elizabethtown on Saturday afternoon.
The teams played scoreless through the opening half with the Red Devils holding a 5-1 shot advantage while forcing 10 penalty corners and allowing just a pair.
The Blue Jays capitalized early in the second half as Madison Kubik fed a cross to Grace Hardy in the 39th minute to put Elizabethtown on the board.
The score would hold as both defenses held strong in the second half. The Blue Jays managed a 5-4 edge in corners after the break but could only produce three shots while holding Dickinson to four.
Margo Donlin made four saves as Elizabethtown improved to 2-0 on the year.
Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) made one save for the Red Devils.
Dickinson slips to 0-2 on the season. They return home and will host York College on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
