Turner Earns D3football.com All-Region Honors

(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior linebacker James Turner (Ridgefield, Conn./Suffield Academy) was named D3football.com All-South Region, announced on Tuesday. Turner was a Third-team selection after earning Second-team honors in 2018.

Turner made his third straight appearance on the All-Conference roster, earning First-team recognition for the past two seasons and Second-team in 2017. He was one of the leaders in the CC with 74 tackles, matching a team-high 7.5 tackles-for-loss. Turner made 45 solo stops, adding 2.5 sacks, five pass break ups and a forced fumble.

Turner finished second in program history with a remarkable 372 career tackles, holding the top spot for solo stops with 215. He finished with 43.5 tackles-for-loss and recorded nine sacks. Turner set the school record for tackles in a game, recording 23 in the 2018 season opener against Washington & Lee.

The Red Devils were in the hunt for a bowl bid right up through the final game of the season. They finished 5-5 overall and captured both rivalry trophies with wins over Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg to claim possession of the Conestoga Wagon and the Little Brown Bucket.
