Dickinson swimming earns CSCAA Scholar All-America honors

Carlisle, Pa. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2021 Scholar All-America honors for the spring semester, and both the Dickinson College men's and women's swimming programs found themselves on the list of honorees. The women's program was recognized for the 54th straight semester, while the men's team earned the honor for the 52nd time in the past 54 semesters.

The women's team posted a team GPA of 3.55, which is the second-highest it has ever been in the past decade, second to only last spring's semester. The Red Devils saw 16 of their swimmers earn a GPA of 3.3 or higher, while 10 women matched or exceeded their best semester GPA. 

On the men's side the program also posted its second-highest GPA, 3.38, in the past decade, second only to last spring's semester GPA as well. The Red Devils saw 11 swimmers post a GPA of 3.3 or better, while five matched or exceeded their best semester GPA. 

The selections for this honor by the CSCAA are based off the spring semesters grade point average and represent 17,982 student-athletes. Overall, 721 teams from 424 institutions earned Scholar All-America team accolades.
