BEGINNING ON FEBRUARY 1, 2021
We will be operating with limited capacity during the Spring 2021 semester. You can view the current occupancy at www.dickinson.edu/occupancy, as well as in the fitness center lobby.
You will no longer need a reservation for cardio equipment and there is no time limit to your use.
All available cardio machines are in the upstairs part of the fitness center. Unless clearly marked “closed”, all cardio machines upstairs are available to use.
Core/Functional Fitness stations will not require a reservation. They are available until full. Please leave this area as soon as you are done training to allow someone else access.
Although these training options do not require a registration, you must still take the appropriate steps to do your fitness center orientation and adhere to the strict cleaning protocols when you are done training. Also, if the fitness center is at max capacity you must wait to enter.
Reservations for the strength circuit and the strength area are still required. You may use this link to register at most 7 days in advance: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/KlineFitnessCenter1@dickinson.edu/bookings/
The Kline Life/Sports Learning Center complex has served as the home of Dickinson Athletics since the fall of 1980. The building is dedicated to honoring the memory of Josiah and Bessie Kline.
The Kline Fitness Center, also referred to as the Kline Center Expansion, was completed in the summer of 2014. It provides an expansive state-of-the-art fitness facility, a five-court championship squash venue, café, outdoor basketball court, and space for social interaction and collaborative study outside of the classroom. The Kline Fitness Center is open to Dickinson community members, who complete an approved fitness center orientation.
The facility has received numerous architectural and sustainability awards in its five-year history, including recognition as a 2017 Athletic Business Facility of Merit. True to Dickinson’s focus on sustainability, the Kline Fitness Center achieved LEED Gold status in 2019, making it the sixth LEED Gold building on campus and seventh LEED certified project.
